Week Nine
This week I learned a useful method from Professor Gleason. She prepared a handout which was a summary of notes and terms of Chapter 3 English Phonology. Arranged in a circle we discussed this handout and sometimes students looked up in our textbook for more information. It was also a preparation for the next exam. This kind of handouts shows students what kind of question they have to answer in the quiz and how. Students, who got a B+ or better in the first exam, took notes when Professor Gleason repeats the answer. When students listen carefully then they know the right answer. On the one hand I think the students have to do a lot and they will get only 3 credits for this class but on the other hand Professor Gleason makes it easy to get a good grade. The key point is they have to read each chapter and listen to Professor Gleason during the class.
